Bizfluence is a growing community with professionals from every industry and geographic location. We use networks to keep the main feed more focused. By allowing Bizfluencers to choose their networks, each person can decide what they do or don't want to see. For this to work though, we count on our users to post in the network whenever it is appropriate.
In general, networks are for content that is more technical or relevant to a specific audience. They may also helpful for continuing conversations that you may have started in DMs or on calls. They can also be a place to continue discussing content in a way that will help you deepen the relationships that you've just started.
Become known as the expert in your Network, because when someone wants, for example, an accountant, they go to an accounting firm or they look in the Yellow Pages under accounting. It’s not only the accountants looking in the Accounting Network.
And, sometimes post in the main feed so that the general public becomes acquainted with you, like a TV commercial.
If in three months, I need an accountant, I am not going to scroll through thousands of posts in the main feed to see who I should choose. Maybe some names will stick in my mind from the main feed, but I am going to go to the Accounting Network to see who is the expert I should hire.
Think of all of the *Networks* as different sections of a newspaper. Each person reads or writes for the sections which he enjoys, finds useful or that which he has something of value to contribute.
And the more one follows a section of a newspaper, the more he takes notice of certain writers, contributors and advertisers there. It is the same with the Bizfluence Networks.
Posting in a Network increases the chance that another Bizfluence member interested in that subject will see your post. And when that member's friend asks to recommend someone in your line of work, he will think of you, because your posts are synonymous with your Network.
Since a Network is inherently about a specific field of work or industry, Interest Tags (whose purpose is to describe what the post is about) are optional and not required as they are when one posts in the Main Feed.
Think of the *Interests* as hashtags. Hashtags are not used on Bizfluence and they do not have any purpose or SEO function here.
If you post in the Main Feed, you need to choose one or two Interest Tags. Main Feed posts are business-oriented that relate to everyone and don't necessarily fit into a specific Network. The Interest Tags give the reader an idea of what the post is about.
In other words, when you are in a Network, you know the genre of the posts. Whereas in the Main Feed, posts can be on a variety of business-related topics, so the necessity of using Interest Tags allows the reader to focus more on posts of specific subjects of interest.
Bizfluence wants you to focus more on your post content and not worry about using hashtags to get better post performance. Your actual content is what will get you interaction on your posts.
And, Bizfluence values your time. Instead of writing hashtags, we want you to spend your time writing professional content and doing business.
Bizfluence has developed a unique platform to help you become known as an expert in your field and not have your content get lost in an ocean of posts. We want to help you network, connect and make business happen. That’s one of the benefits of the Networks. Take a look through the list of Networks to see in which one you’ll become known as an expert.
The Main Feed is reserved for posts about your business and journey, but it is for more general content that most people can relate to.
Here are some examples of specific posts and where they should go:
